DYK-3: The AHOM's Warriors : Who Defeated The Mughals 17 Times - Not in History Books.

The Ahom Warriors

Who Defeated The Mughals 17 Times

Who are AHOM's Warriors or AHOM Dynasty? 99% of the Indian don't no about these warriors.

We know only Mauryans, Guptas, Mughals, Nizams, Nawabs, Britishers.... etc why? Because we have studied in our great TEXT books.

Why history text books in India have no place for AHOM's Warriors or AHOM Dynasty.

AHOM Dynasty now it is called Assam,India ruled AHOM Kingdom for 598 years(1228–1826).

Ahom is the longest ruling dynasty in India, ruling over 598 years.

The dynasty was established by Sukaphaa, a Shan prince of Mong Mao who came to Assam after crossing the Patkai mountains.

Did you know, Ahom warriors defeated the Mughals 17 times in battle.

The Ahom warriors fought hardly an won against Mughal empire and they never fell down.

Ahom–Mughal conflicts refer to the period between the first Mughal attack on the Ahom kingdom in 1615 and the final Battle of Itakhuli in 1682.

The Battle of Saraighat was a naval battle fought in 1671 between the Mughal Empire (led by the Kachwaha king, Raja Ramsingh I), and the Ahom Kingdom (led by Lachit Borphukan) on the Brahmaputra river at Saraighat, now in Guwahati, Assam, India.

Not only AHOMS... SIKHS, MARATHAS , RAJPUTS also defeated Mughals.

The worst thing about us is:- 90% of the people's "Yet we don't no the History of our own state".
