 HINDUISM - You may not know

 

1. The sacred number in Hinduism is 108. This is why Malas and Garlands have 108 beads. 

2. In Hinduism, we can see both MALE and FEMALE( in form of God or Shakthi.) deities are worshiped with equal reverence in Hinduism. 

3. Hinduism is one of the world’s oldest religions and has no Founder.

4. Hinduism is soothing because it gives importance to freedom of individual.

5. In Hinduism, followers can read other religious books, no one will question or punish you.

6. Hinduism allow us to ask any type of questions about GOD.
Followers don't have to believe or accept blindly, about the writings or preachings in the books. You can be scientific in your approach and compare the findings to the ones mentioned in Holy Books.

7. Hinduism teaches the importance of nature and worship Nature. 

It compares nature to Mother in an analogy to care and support a mother showers on her children.

It also compares Nature to God in an Analogy of nature, being extremely powerful and can cause pain and suffering, if abused.

 The Ideology behind this is "Nature should be preserved and protected."

In Hinduism,  for Wind, Fire, River, Sky, Plants, Trees, Animals, Rocks, Sun, Moon... etc  given the status of a deity,  so that humans have to preserve these valuable assets of nature.

8.  Hinduism does not believe in converting people.

Hinduism has not converted any peoples any people by force or lure. It feels conversion of religion is the most sinful thing, a person can ever commit. 

9. Patience and Tolerance are the prime characteristics of Hinduism. It teaches Perseverance in a devotional way.

10. Hinduism preaches love for all types of species, so that Humans don't poach them for any reasons. 

It even tells us every organism created in this world is a form of GOD. It even shows us in Puranas that GOD took form of animals sometimes to save the world.

11. Hinduism gave ‘4 Vedas’ to this world.
Veda simply means “Knowledge”. It is a Sanskrit word from the root “Vid”, which means finding, knowing, acquiring, or understanding. 

4 Vedas are the warehouse of all modern scientific knowledge and wisdom.
The pure knowledge given by god. Vedas includes Science, Math, Chemistry, Medicine, Biology, Physics, Sanskrit Grammar...etc. 

12. For Hindus, Hinduism is a matter of celebration. Hindus love to celebrate festivals

Hinduism has lots of festivals compared to other religions. Every month, you will find some festivals. Even we celebrates full moon, half Moon and no Moon(Amavasya/Amavase) day as well. 

In Hinduism, Farmers celebrates while Sowing of seeds, Harvesting of crops.

For Hindus, Fasting is also means "A Celebration of Life".

This is the Beauty of HINDUISM.
